Left Lane News had an impression of this future model, and the result is in the pictures above to admire. A while ago, at the Paris Motor Show in 2008 to be precise, we were already acquainted with the concept model of the Countryman, which then gets called Crossover Concept. The naming of the MINI SUV would indeed, in line with the Clubman, Countryman be.

Even though the Countryman particularly well on the other members of the MINI family, yet the skin completely different technique. So the Countryman on a new platform, which was made for a higher ride height and four-wheel drive. The basis of this platform is – how could it be otherwise – shared with the BMW X1. The engines were not the BMW family, but from cooperation with the PSA group result.

Perhaps, the Countryman on 4 full doors available, unlike the Clubman, which has only 3. In this way, confirming that the MINI Countryman not just a Clubman that is what is increased. The Countryman MINI MINI is suddenly the biggest ones ever built. Behind it would still make use of the trunk consisting of two parts, and also to be found in the MINI Clubman. The debut of the MINI Countryman would take place at the Geneva Motor Show 2011.

First appear as a concept car at the Paris Auto Show last year. However, the MINI also affirm that this tiny car will be marketed next year and will become of the form exhibited in the event Frankfurt Auto Show, next September. “Once launched at the Paris Auto Show, a lot of response from the public and the experts are good enough, so we decided to produced 4 weeks after the appearance in Paris,” said Wolfgang Armbrecht, MINI brand management.

Main design is not far different from the MINI that has been circulating. Same with the MINI Clubman with the body more elastic. But space is big enough goods to give up a little place with a capacity of 4 individual units. Armbrecht also said, should use this crossover MINI 4WD fully. Maximum length of 4 meters, “But this control must be such as Crossover in Go Karting,” he said. So, really easy and fun for all the people in it.

The Clubman Cooper D’s driving enjoyment and performance are first rate. As with petrol versions of the sporty Clubman, it has precise steering, great body control and bags of character.

Whereas many manufacturers dress up eco brands with specific badges and bonnets, BMW prefers instead to spread its plant-friendly technology across its entire range. Features include a regenerative braking function, which uses brake energy to recharge a hi-tech battery via the alternator, which results in less engine drag. The MINI is even more economical than conventional diesel superminis – ‘green’ competition instead comes from the SEAT Ibiza ECOmotive, Polo Bluemotion and Skoda Fabia GreenLine.

The benefit of the Clubman is that extra rear door, opening onto a roomier rear cabin, while the twin rear doors reveal a larger boot than the standard hatch, too. Test model averaged 57mpg – an excellent result, and better even than the Polo Bluemotion and SEAT Ibiza ECOmotive. Retained vales are also excellent.

The BMW Concept 5 Series Gran Turismo is the production-destined rendition of the Progressive Activity Sedan (PAS) development idea. The concept combines the looks and appearance of a sporty BMW Sedan, a modern Sports Activity Vehicle, and a classic Gran Turismo.

The overall look of the exterior clearly alludes to the extension of BMW’s model portfolio: in its exterior dimensions the BMW Concept 5 Series Gran Turismo fits between the BMW 7 Series and BMW’s various SAV models. Its length of 196.8″ is second only within the BMW model range to the 7 Series, while the car’s height of 61.2″ is exceeded only by BMW’s X models. The width is 74.8″ and the wheelbase is 120.9″.

The characteristic look of the BMW Concept 5 Series Gran Turismo results from the car’s proportions – the long hood, long wheelbase, and the greenhouse moved aft bear out the athletic characteristics of a BMW. These features are combined with elements that highlight the qualities of the new concept; the large passenger cell bears testimony to the luxurious interior.
